The Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, located in Seattle, is a premier sports and entertainment venue that has been a cornerstone of the community since its opening in 1927. Originally built to host basketball games, this historic arena has evolved into a multi-purpose facility that accommodates a variety of events, including concerts, wrestling matches, and other sporting events. With a seating capacity of approximately 10,000, it offers an intimate atmosphere while still providing ample space for large crowds.

Throughout the year, the arena hosts numerous events, making it a bustling hub for entertainment. Fans can expect to see a diverse lineup of performances ranging from NCAA basketball games to popular music concerts. Ticket prices vary significantly based on the event category; for instance, basketball games typically range from $20 to $100, while concert tickets can start as low as $30 and go up to several hundred dollars for premium seating.

Positive reviews highlight the arena's excellent acoustics and sightlines, making it a favorite among performers and audiences alike. The venue's commitment to providing a top-notch experience is evident in its modern amenities and attentive staff.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at the Alaska Airlines Arena is designed to enhance the viewing experience for all attendees. The best sections are generally considered to be the lower bowl seats, particularly those located near the center court or stage. These areas provide unobstructed views and are closest to the action, making them ideal for fans who want an immersive experience.

Conversely, the upper-level seats can be less desirable due to their distance from the event. While they are more affordable, some attendees may find that they miss out on the finer details of performances or games. However, there are still sections within the upper level that offer decent views at a lower price point.

Parking Information

Parking options around the Alaska Airlines Arena are plentiful but can vary in convenience and cost. The best parking option is the University of Washington Parking Garage, located at 4000 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98195. This facility offers easy access to the arena and typically charges around $15 for event parking.

In addition to this garage, there are several surface lots nearby that provide alternative parking solutions. However, it is advisable to avoid street parking in the immediate vicinity of the venue due to strict enforcement and limited availability during major events. The arena's central location in Seattle makes it easily accessible via public transportation as well.
